Unlike most ebike parts or accessories, lithium-ion batteries are classified as a hazardous material. That means we have to follow federal regulations when shipping a battery. Packaging a battery and getting the right paperwork in order takes extra time.
Packaging & certification
Before a battery even leaves our warehouse en route to you, it must go through Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) certification and approval, which takes about 5-7 business days from when you place your order. After certification, it’s another 3-5 business days for a battery to leave our warehouse.
Transit time varies based on location
Regulations require batteries be delivered using ground transportation. Transit times will vary depending on your location in the US or Canada.
Track delivery time and status
When the battery leaves our warehouse, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a tracking number from the shipping courier (e.g. FedEx). The courier’s tracking number will give you delivery updates and timelines.
