Bikes & Features

Does my bike need to be adjusted when it arrives?
We take many steps to have a bike delivered as close to ready-to-ride as possible. As with any bike, shipping and normal use can make it possible for hardware to vibrate loose over time. With a periodic checks and adjustments, including after assembly, you can keep your bike in great shape so it's ready for any ride! Please check out your bike's Owner's Manual to see hardware torque specifications to keep your bike safe and fun to ride.

We also recommend getting an initial tune-up from a local, certified, and reputable bike mechanic within the first 50-100 miles. A tune-up that covers the most common adjustments (like brakes, spokes, derailleur, and tires) is a great way to keep your bike in great shape and keep you riding Rad!

Do Rad Power Bikes ebikes have gears?
All of our bikes, except for the RadRunner, use a Shimano 7-speed gearing system and thumb shifter.

How do I charge my battery?

Do ebikes require maintenance?
All bikes (including ebikes) require maintenance over time to keep the bike safe and fun to ride. Check out our article HERE to learn about bike maintenance, cleaning, and adjustments to keep you riding Rad!

Can I carry things or passengers on my bike?
Yes! Each model is designed with carrying cargo in mind. To find information related to your model, click HERE.
Where can I find the serial number on my bike?
The serial number is stamped into the metal of the frame, either at the front of the bike below the RAD badge, or on the underside of the bottom bracket. It is also listed on the outside of the bike box your bike was packaged in.

Does Rad Power Bikes sell accessories or replacement parts?
Yes! Check out our Accessories page to see what’s available, or take a look at our Replacement Parts page. If the part you need is not listed on our website, contact us.
Can I load my ebike onto my car? 
Yes! We recommend and sell the Hollywood Racks Ebike Hitch Rack. Click HERE to go to the product page to read more or place an order.
Can I customize my bike by adding or removing parts?
We want your bike to be as unique as you are, so you can personalize or customize your bike as you see fit. Check out our Accessories page to find the perfect accessory for your bike.

We do not sell or swap bike components between models. For example, it's not possible to have the swept back handlebar installed on a RadRover.

Before replacing any of the components with aftermarket parts, we recommend you contact us so we can help give you some information on compatibility and how the changes may affect your warranty.

Rad Power Bikes tests the compatibility and safety of products sold on our website and in-store, but we cannot guarantee products not made or sold by us, so installing and using aftermarket or third-party parts or accessories is at your own risk.
Can I mount a water bottle holder onto my bike or replace my bike seat?
Mounting a water bottle cage:

Most of our bikes have mounting points for a standard water bottle cage. The mounting points are located on either the rider-side or underside of the downtube.

You can purchase a water bottle holder and a reusable, durable water bottle directly from Rad Power Bikes!

Replacing the seat:

The seat can be replaced on all models except the RadRunner, which has an integrated steel seatpost with a fixed angle that is not compatible with any other seat. Our bikes use a rail-clamp system that can accommodate most seats with seat rails.

Refer to your owner's manual for details on seat adjustment. If your desired seat doesn't have seat rails or is not compatible with our seatpost, the seatpost (which is a standard diameter 27.2 mm) can also be replaced, but this will impact your warranty. Please contact us before making any adjustments to your bike so we can help confirm if your warranty will be affected.

What payment methods do you accept, and do you offer financing?
We accept debit or credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, and Discover), Amazon Pay, and of course, Rad Power Bikes gift cards, available for purchase online and delivered via email in US, Canadian, and EU currency!

Will I be charged sales tax?
Due to the Supreme Court of the United States 2018 ruling of “South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc.,” we are now required to collect sales tax at the state and local levels.

State sales tax (and municipal sales tax when applicable) is required and will be collected on all orders shipped into the following states:

How do I create an account or check on an order?
A customer account allows current customers to review their previous orders and take part in our referral program. An account can be created after you purchase a bike.
