Bikes & Features

Does my bike need to be adjusted when it arrives?
We take many steps to have a bike delivered as close to ready-to-ride as possible. As with any bike, shipping and normal use can make it possible for hardware to vibrate loose over time. With a periodic checks and adjustments, including after assembly, you can keep your bike in great shape so it's ready for any ride! Please check out your bike's Owner's Manual to see hardware torque specifications to keep your bike safe and fun to ride.

We also recommend getting an initial tune-up from a local, certified, and reputable bike mechanic within the first 50-100 miles. A tune-up that covers the most common adjustments (like brakes, spokes, derailleur, and tires) is a great way to keep your bike in great shape and keep you riding Rad!

Do Rad Power Bikes ebikes have gears?
All of our bikes, except for the RadRunner 1 and the RadMission, use a Shimano 7-speed gearing system and thumb shifter.

How do I charge my battery?

Do ebikes require maintenance?
All bikes (including ebikes) require maintenance over time to keep the bike safe and fun to ride. Check out our article HERE to learn about bike maintenance, cleaning, and adjustments to keep you riding Rad!

Can I carry things or passengers on my bike?
Yes! Each model is designed with carrying cargo in mind. To find information related to your model, click HERE.
Where can I find the serial number on my bike?
The serial number is stamped into the metal of the frame, either at the front of the bike below the RAD badge, or on the underside of the bottom bracket. It is also listed on the outside of the bike box your bike was packaged in.

Will I be charged sales tax?
Due to the Supreme Court of the United States 2018 ruling of “South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc.,” we are now required to collect sales tax at the state and local levels.

State sales tax (and municipal sales tax when applicable) is required and will be collected on all orders shipped into the following states:

Gift Cards

How do I buy a gift card?
You can purchase a digital gift card online HERE. Your digital gift card will be delivered to your email address immediately after purchase with instructions on how to redeem it.

You can also purchase a physical gift card at all of our retail locations.

How do I send a gift card to someone else?
Gift cards purchased online via are delivered in digital form and will be emailed directly to the purchaser, or the person that the purchaser designates as the recipient. Digital gift cards are emailed directly to the purchaser, or the person that the purchaser designates as the recipient and usually arrive within hours after ordering. Please note that Rad Power Bikes is not responsible for incorrect digital gift card delivery due to the entry of an incorrect email address.
How do I redeem my gift card?
In the checkout, enter your gift card code in the “Gift card or discount code” box and then select “Apply”.

You can also redeem your gift card at one of our retail locations.

How do I check the balance of my gift card?
To check the balance of your gift cards, please visit the Rad Help Center and submit a request.
What if the gift card doesn't cover my order total?
If your gift card doesn't cover the total of your order, you can use any accepted payment method to pay the difference.
Can I use my gift card with a sale and promotion?
Yes you can. In the checkout, enter your gift card code in the “Gift card or discount code” box and then select “Apply”. You can also redeem your physical gift card at one of our retail locations.
Can I use my gift card at other brand/company stores?
No, your Rad Power Bikes gift card is only applicable to purchases on our website or in our retail locations. You cannot use our branded card at another company’s store.
Can I use my Rad Power Bikes digital gift card at a Rad Power Bikes retail store?
Yes, you can print it out and take it to a physical location, or have your email confirmation on your phone with the gift card code.
Can I return the gift card to get a cash refund?
All gift card sales are final and nonrefundable. Gift cards cannot be transferred to another gift card for value, or redeemed for cash, check or credit (except as required by law).
What if I lose my gift card?
Rad Power Bikes is not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards. Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced.
