How to Replace the Charge Fuse on your 2018 Rad Battery Pack
Remove the battery from the bike and set it upside down on a solid surface. You should see two rectangular rubber covers up near the locking pin, as shown here:
If you need to check the “Charge Fuse”, we’ll be looking at the one labeled “5A” on the right side.
To remove this small rubber plug, use a small screwdriver, wedged in along the side of the plug.
Under the plug you’ll see a small, rectangular 5 amp blade fuse, identical to those used in automobiles or other vehicles. You’ll want to remove this fuse from its holder, ideally with a pair of small pliers.
Once you have the fuse removed, it should look like this, with a continuous metal wire running through the plastic:
If you have any questions about the fuse once you have it out, contact us with a clear photo of it, and we’ll be happy to help!
When replacing, the fuse can be installed in either direction, and make sure the rubber plug is pressed firmly back into place.
