At the moment, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations prohibit the large lithium-ion batteries on ebikes from being transported on passenger aircraft. The 672 watt hour (Wh) batteries that come with Rad Power Bikes exceeds the maximum Wh allowable by the FAA, which you can read more about on the FAA pack safe website.
If you are traveling and need to bring your ebike, you may be able to ship your bike ahead utilizing Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, one of the other freight companies available, or inquire with your airline about shipping your bike as cargo. Contact those companies directly, tell them you have a lithium-ion battery-powered bicycle, and they should be able to assist you in the process or refer you to someone who could help. There will likely be requirements for proper packaging, marking, and paperwork as ebikes and large lithium-ion batteries are regulated in all modes of transportation.
Due to complications in the past, we are unable to provide any documentation or assistance in the process of shipping an ebike and/or battery by freight or other methods.
