We recommend the Hollywood Rack's HR1450E model, which we have tested for safety and compatibility with our bikes. You can find the Hollywood HR1450E on our website under the accessories tab or by clicking HERE.
This rack mounts onto a 2" hitch and can hold two of our bikes. The following tire fittings are available for selection based on the bikes you're looking to carry:
2x fat tires: Will fit (2) RadRovers OR (2) RadMinis/RadMini Step-Thrus OR a combination of the two.
2x standard tires: Will fit (2) RadWagons OR (2) RadCitys OR (1) RadWagon and (1) RadCity
1 fat tire 1 standard tire: Will fit (1) RadWagon/RadCity and (1) RadRover/RadMini
To securely attach the step-thru frame model bikes, the RadCity Step-Thru and/or the RadMini Step-Thru, you will need to purchase this adapter from Hollywood Racks.
This rack does not work on vehicles with a 5th wheel mounted on the rear hatch since it does not have the required clearance.
The installation video is below.
There are many other third party bike racks that may fit our bikes and your vehicle, though we cannot recommend them since we have not verified them as safe and compatible though internal testing. At this time we don't know of any trunk or roof mounted racks that are compatible with our bikes.
When searching for potentially compatible racks, be sure they can accommodate the tire width and wheelbase of your particular bike(s) and are rated for the weight of ebikes. The maximum weight capacity of the rack should be per bike, not total (i.e. we do not recommend using a rack designed for four pedal bikes up to 120 lbs total to transport two of our 60 lb bikes).
Our RadRover, RadCity, and RadMini weigh approximately 60 lbs and our RadWagon weighs approximately 70 lbs.
Before loading your bike on a rack for transport, remove the battery to reduce the weight of the bike, make lifting and loading easier, and to protect the battery by transporting in the cab of a vehicle. Be aware that your vehicle may have limits to the amount of weight that it can carry with the hitch or other places a bike rack may be mounted.
Avoid transporting bikes from Rad Power Bikes on a vehicle rack during rain, as this may cause water damage to the electrical components. Contact Rad Power Bikes Technical Support if you have questions about preventative measures.
For questions or assistance in ordering the appropriate Hollywood Hitch Rack components needed for your bike(s), please contact Rad Power Bikes Customer Experience by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone to (800) 939-0310 x 1.
Rad Power Bikes cannot recommend any components that have not been tested internally for compatibility and verified as safe to use with ebikes by Rad Power Bikes.
If you do not have the experience, ability, and tools to install, adjust, and secure a hitch rack or ebikes on a hitch rack, Rad Power Bikes highly recommends having a reputable mechanic and or hitch rack expert install, adjust, and secure a hitch rack on your vehicle and/or ebikes on the hitch rack and ensure the rack is safe for transporting ebikes.
