Ebikes by Rad Power Bikes arrive around 85% assembled and the components requiring assembly (with the exception of plugging in the headlight) are all standard pedal bike components including the front wheel, pedals, and attaching the handlebars.
There are several options for our customers to have their bikes assembled by professionals before their first ride!
There is not a way for us to ship a fully assembled bike, however, since our ebikes and packaging are optimized to protect them during shipment, which involves them arriving around 15% disassembled.
1. Have your bike assembled by a velofix mobile bike shop. We have teamed up with velofix Mobile Bike Shops to create a nation-wide Authorized Service Network for our customers! Those that live within a velofix service area (check your zip code at the link above) can get their new RadRover, RadWagon, RadMini, or RadCity professionally built and tuned all without having to leave their home for $199, which also includes a 30-day tuneup! In addition to building up new bikes, velofix also acts as a full-service bike shop that can do everything from fixing flats to tightening spokes, adjusting brakes to replacing chains, all direct to your door! Contact velofix by CLICKING HERE and set up your assembly appointment.
2. Arrange to have your ebike by Rad Power Bikes shipped directly to a local or nearby bike shop. We can ship our ebikes to any physical address to which FedEx can deliver. Contact your favorite local bike shop to see if they will receive your bike shipment, assemble it, tune it up, and fit the bike to you before you take your first ride.
3. Receive your ebike at your address and take it to a local or nearby bike shop for help assembling, tuning, and fitting the bike to your unique body proportions before taking your first ride.
